Hello! My name is Christine. Welcome to my blog, We Shine Like Stars. I’m so glad to see you here!
I live in the Detroit area and my faith, friends, family and especially my fur baby are very important to me. The name for my blog, We Shine Like Stars, is of personal significance to me. When I first heard this lyric from a song, it was during a difficult time in my life. I connected with it because we do shine like stars. Sometimes we let others give worth and significance to our lives whether bad or good. We should encourage one another and not let others dictate how we feel and believe, what we look like, wear, or do. The goal of We Shine Like Stars is to encourage and inspire readers through positivity, motivation, inspiration and fun. It has taken me a long time to accept and love myself. As a plus size girl I have grown to be very comfortable with my size and actually enjoy myself as I am. I now truly know that I am beautiful both inside and out. I believe in everyone following their dreams, passions, loving themselves and inspiring others to do the same.
I find inspiration in art, nature, culture, architecture, food, people,dogs, fashion and music. I love reading blogs and wanted to create a blog that encourages and inspires readers through fashion, beauty, home decor, travel, crafts/DIY and all things that inspire me.
